Come celebrate the grand opening of the Woolwich Memorial Centre on Saturday September 12, 2009.  As part of the new facility, the Dan Snyder Memorial Arena will be a featured part of the day's events.  There is a bbq at noon, a family dance from 7:00PM to 8:30PM, and a licensed dance from 9:15PM to 1:00AM. 
 
The official opening ceremonies will take place at 2:00PM with a dedication and ribbon cutting followed by public tours of the facility.  All events for the day are free and can be accessed with a wristband obtainable at the Township of Woolwich offices on Church Street Elmira until August 28th.  You can reserve a wristband after that date by calling 519-669-6049.  A wristband is not needed for the 2:00 ceremony.
 
We are excited and proud that this day has finally arrived.  Six years ago, it was a huge dream for Dan, and now it has become a reality.  Please join us on this special day to help us honour Dan's memory.  Hope to see you there.
